This workstream is modelled on the global Stop Killer Robots campaign’s tried and tested ‘tech won’t build it’ initiative, which educates tech workers and firms and provides practical opportunities for them to speak out against and commit not to work towards the development of autonomous weapons systems. We also build relationships with the tech and finance industries in the UK to develop evidence-based research highlighting how self-replicating flaws within algorithm-/machine learning-based weapons systems operating without meaningful human control violate international law and should not be pursued.
